Needles and Brooks Brothers, America’s oldest clothing brand, come together for a special collaboration available Wednesday September 2 at Nepenthes Los Angeles.
The collection takes the American classic style Brooks Brothers has cultivated throughout its history and reinterprets it through the distinctive perspective and playful detailing of Needles.
The seven-piece collection includes a jacket and trousers, button-down shirt, two sweaters, a necktie, and loafers. The 3B Sack Jacket and Wide Trousers are constructed from parent-and-child corduroy, characterized by alternating wide and narrow wales, and finished with bold embroidered motifs representing both brands.
The Multi Button BD Shirt draws inspiration from a 1980s Brooks Brothers shirt that Needles designer Keizo Shimizu has worn for many years. The familiar button-down is reconstructed with buttons in varying sizes and a more relaxed silhouette.
Two knit styles are also included. The Mohair V Neck Sweater features a classic argyle pattern, while the Mock Neck Sweater is made from soft lambswool and finished with a needle-distressed treatment that creates the appearance of natural aging.
The collection is completed by an Embroidered Silk Knit Tie featuring the logos of both brands and a Penny Loafer made with Horween shell cordovan and paired with a durable, cushioned Vibram sole.
A capsule that reimagines the timeless American traditional style of Brooks Brothers through the unique sensibility of Needles.
