“THIS ARE TWO TONE”
This season’s theme is 2 Tone.
In the background of the collection lies an homage to the band The Specials.
The textiles are built around two core colors: black and white.
For the original fabrics, a checkered pattern was printed on cotton ripstop, and iconic ska music–inspired footprint motifs were printed on polyester pilot twill fabric. Both were limited to prints in only black and white, which we believe resulted in fabrics that truly symbolize this season.
The collection is largely composed of black-and-white fabrics sourced from around the world. In particular, Turkish fabrics ranging from shirting materials to knits brought a nostalgic atmosphere that ties the whole collection together.
The iconic three-piece suit style of The Specials serves as the foundation for this season’s styling.
For bottoms, we created a variety of silhouettes — including the narrow Andover Pant, the wide Carlyle Pant and Officer Pant, and the 3/4 length WP Pant. Even when made with the same fabric, the suits take on different expressions depending on the styling.
For tops, in addition to the classic three-button Andover Jacket, we introduced the Claigton Jacket and AN Jacket, each with its own unique character. By expanding the variety of top styles, we aimed to broaden the range of styling options and allow for a freer interpretation of the three-piece suit.
For accessories, we incorporated items closely tied to ska music — such as the Porkpie Hat, Ribbon Tie, and Narrow Tie — adding further dimension to the overall look.
We created a two-part presentation in black & white and in color. However, in keeping with the 2 Tone concept, both versions feature the exact same items and styling.
We hope you’ll notice how the mood shifts purely through the difference in color.
