Needles presents a special collaboration with Tailor Toyo, a brand with over half a century of experience producing souvenir jackets, and Sun Surf, known for its Hawaiian shirts.
For its first collaboration with Tailor Toyo, Needles reinterprets a classic US Navy jacket to create the Souvenir Jacket. Constructed from wool, the jacket features a large embroidered papillon motif on the back, accompanied by embroidery representing cities that Needles has visited for past campaign shoots.
The Hawaiian Shirt, produced in collaboration with Sun Surf, reimagines the brand’s signature rayon Hawaiian shirt in a flannel fabric suited to the fall and winter season. At the request of Needles, two papillon-inspired patterns were selected from Sun Surf’s extensive archives, with a different design featured in each colorway.
The collection’s campaign visuals feature Japanese actor Kenichi Takito as the model.
Bringing together the longstanding manufacturing traditions of Tailor Toyo and Sun Surf with the distinctive design sensibility of Needles, this special collection reflects the individual character of each brand.
