Pop-up by Feal Mor
Feal Mor means Faithful Sea in Breton, the ancestral language of my father’s people. I chose those words because without the sea there’s neither rain nor snow.
No rivers, lakes, fog or glaciers.
No food. No waves. No life.
And inevitably.. no us.
With Feal Mor, the brand, I originally made clothing based on what made me feel I could fluidly go from the sea to the mountains via the city in a way that was elegant but practical, with enough individuality to feel part of the whole but still myself.
This capsule of pieces from Feal Mor’s vintage archive is grouped to highlight what I think are some of the criminally underrated and overlooked masterpieces of US military clothing all the while respecting the Feal Mor ethos. Certainly, the rarest and most glamorous pieces in the vintage canon have their place. But for me these are the ones that can be worn every day and based on how they’re combined, the ones that can either stand out or blend in, effortlessly capable of doing either in the subtlest of ways. Giving these exceptional garments, some of which are 80+ years old, an active life in 2026 and beyond is, for me, a source of great pride.
In a world that seems to want to crush us on the daily, I find this helps me navigate it with both stealth and flair, providing both protection and expression to the degree of my choosing. I value and consider this a small but meaningful degree of freedom.
