A new collaboration between Engineered Garments and Finnish footwear brand Karhu arrives at Nepenthes Los Angeles.
Founded in 1916, Karhu revisits one of its enduring classics through the lens of Engineered Garments. The Mestari Slip On is based on the Mestari, originally developed from Karhu’s cross-country ski shoe lineage, and updates the traditional lace construction with a velcro closure.
The upper combines suede, nylon, and leather, arranged in alternating panels that give the shoe added texture and depth. The result is a versatile design that brings subtle contrast and character to a wide range of styling. The shoe is offered in two earth-toned colorways, Chocolate and Tobacco.
A familiar Karhu silhouette, reworked with the distinctive material sensibility and craftsmanship of Engineered Garments.
