Available Friday, August 8, at Nepenthes Los Angeles
The first collaboration between Nepenthes and Japanese footwear brand foot the coacher launches on Friday, August 8 at Nepenthes Los Angeles.
Designed by Toshinosuke Takegahara, foot the coacher is known for its exceptional craftsmanship and refined sensibility. Each pair is produced in one of Japan’s top-tier factories, combining traditional construction methods with modern functionality.
For this collaboration, a new original last—NEP-1816—was developed exclusively for Nepenthes. Featuring an oblique toe and relaxed silhouette, it forms the foundation for two moccasin styles:
Comfort Moccasin Shoes, a classic lace-up model
Velcro Comfort Moccasin Shoes, the first-ever velcro design from foot the coacher
Both styles are constructed using Goodyear welting for long-term comfort and are finished with Vibram® MONOLITE soles, which are lightweight, flexible, and durable. The combination of a sturdy U-tip design and ergonomic fit offers an ideal balance of structure and ease.
A refined take on utilitarian footwear.
