The Engineered Garments x Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium reimagines the classic field watch, balancing minimalism and modernity for a watch that is more than just its elements.
Here, Daiki achieves what few can: a fashion-forward watch that earns respect from apparel enthusiasts and timepiece purists. Inspired by iconic tool watches like the Rolex Explorer, Tudor Ranger, and Sinn 556 A, it retains the essence of a true field watch: a simple black dial, no date window, and highly legible markers.
Yet, Daiki’s choices go deeper. The full Arabic numeral layout replaces the conventional 3,6,9 alternative. Close to the dial’s edge sits a minute track set at five-second intervals, allowing precise timekeeping with the arrow-tipped second hand. Painted with Super-LumiNova only on its tip, the second hand floats gracefully around the dial’s perimeter. The hour and minute syringe hands are similarly luminous, ensuring precision. The dial is deliberately restrained—just Hamilton’s heritage logo and limited text. Daiki reserves a place for Engineered Garments branding ark on the partially open case back.
The 36mm titanium case is bold in its restraint. Smaller than modern trends and true to Nepenthes’ ethos of doing what others don’t, it matches the original 1953 Rolex Explorer in size, defying the preference for larger watches over the past decade. Titanium’s lightweight yet durable properties and understated brushed matte finish elevate the watch further. Inside, Hamilton’s H-10 automatic movement delivers an impressive 80-hour power reserve.
Every detail of this watch feels purposeful, stripped of excess, yet full of bold choices. It’s a reflection of Engineered Garments’ philosophy—blending function and form into a single, compelling design.
